The weekly newsletter is back!

What a great weekend for LCC as every team won! The first team travelled to Henfield looking to make it 3 wins in a row and maintain their lead at the top. Henfield batted first and posted 218 all out. James Askew and Ryan Budd were the stand out bowlers, both taking 4fers. In reply, the first team lost Tom Lee early in the chase but Guy Souch and Jack Turner put on 134 for the 2nd wicket partnership. Jack Turner fell on 72 and Ally James joined Guy at the crease. They led the first team to the brink of victory before Guy fell for his highest first team score, 102. Mike Askew came and went first ball but Ally and Mac Cox finished the job and the first team won by 6 wickets. Full scorecard here.

The second team hosted Henfield 2’s at The Sportsfield. Henfield batted first and were going well until Dan White removed both openers. Nick Larking and Nathan Cooper then came on and cleaned up the tail as Henfield were bowled out for 160. In reply, the second team made extremely light work of the chase. Skipper Darren Bazley and Harry Standing put on 112 for the first wicket before Bazley fell for an elegant 65. Dan Peach joined Harry and they finished the job with minimal fuss. The third team hosted Goring 3’s at Fernhurst. Goring batted first and posted 115 all out. Dheeraj Kumar and Stuart Stoneham both taking 3fers. The third team also made light work of the chase with Rick Heberlein and Olly Hemsley both scoring 30’s and the 3s won by 9 wickets. Full scorecard here.

The fourth team travelled to Bognor 3’s. The fourth team batted first and posted 166-8. Sam Pannell top scored with 70. In reply, Bognor could only manage 138 all out thanks to a great bowling and fielding display from the fourth team. Rajasechar Anumula and Amit Dubey were the stand out bowlers, both taking 3 wickets. Full scorecard here.

On Sunday, the Sunday side (pictured above) travelled to Madehurst. The Sunday side batted first and posted 193-8. In reply, Madehurst were bowled out for 123, Amit Dubey took 4-24. Full scorecard here.



This Saturday night we are off to our sponsors Chopsticks for a Chinese. We will be booking a table for 9pm, everyone welcome. Please let James Askew or your captain know if you will be attending.

Last Saturday’s bonus ball winner was 52 which no one had. You can view all of the winners here.

We will be hosting our annual darts tournament on Saturday 18th August. It’s £2 entry and everyone is welcome to play.

Don’t forget our 6 a side tournament on August bank holiday Monday. It’s a friendly tournament and anyone from the age of 13 can play. To sign up please put your name down on the sign-up sheet in the pavilion.
