With the weather being nice again, we had an action packed weekend at LCC with 7 games taking place across the weekend.
On Saturday, the first team blew away opponents Chichester 2’s. Chichester won the toss at The Sportsfield and elected to bat first. What followed after that was simply amazing. Chichester were bowled out in the 15th over for 27. James Askew and Mac Cox both took 4fers. Tom Lee and Guy Souch then chased the total in 4.2 overs. Full scorecard here. The second team had another winning draw after Slinfold held on. The 2’s were bowled out for 220 in the 45th over. Harry Standing scored 84 and Jordan Atkinson 39 not out. Slinfold finished on 180-8 off 49 overs. Amjad Mohsin took 3-33. Full scorecard here. The second team are currently 4th.
The fourth team lost at home to Clymping but picked up a respectable 11 points. Clymping batted first and posted 210-9 off their 40 overs. Theo Hemsley took his second 5fer this year, finishing with 5-32. In reply the 4th team fell 78 runs short. Shaun Keyte top scoring with 44. Full scorecard here. The fourth team are currently 8th.
On Sunday, the second team were in cup action. In round one of the West Sussex T20 Plate Competition they played Stirlands 2’s. The second team batted first and posted 179-8. Stirlands replied with 104-6. Full Scorecard here.
In round two the second team played Pagham. Littlehampton batted first and were struggling at 40-4. However a class knock from Dan Peach, who finished on 50 not out, helped the 2’s recover to 173-6. Pagham then fell 67 runs short meaning the 2’s are now into the semi-finals. Full scorecard here.
The under 10’s suffered their first defeat of the season against a very good Middleton side. Full scorecard here.

This year’s race night will be on Saturday 9th June in the pavilion. Daniel Rive will be hosting the night. He will be doing 6 races. This is one of our main fundraisers during the season so please come and have a bet or two. Everyone welcome.
The winner of Saturday’s bonus ball was Andy Lee with 22.
