On Saturday the first team hosted Billingshurst 2’s at The Sportsfield. The 1st XI batted first and posted 247-7 off 45 overs. Ally James and Jack Turner top scored with 71 and 70 respectively. In reply, Billingshurst lost regular wickets with Dan White (4-25) and James Askew (3-10) doing most of the damage and Billingshurst were all out for 112. The result means the first team stay top, 17 points clear of Broadwater, who they play this Saturday away from home. Full scorecard here.

The second team travelled to Himani. Himani batted first on a tricky wicket and could only manage 111 all out thanks to a good bowling display from the second team. In reply, the 2nd XI got off to a good start with Andy Lee scoring 35. However a typical LA collapse left them in trouble but Jordan Atkinson and Nick Larking saved the day and steered the 2nd XI to a 2 wicket victory. The win means the 2’s still have a slim chance of promotion. Full scorecard here.

The third team travelled to Bosham. Bosham won an important toss and asked the third XI to bat. No one could reach double figures as the side struggled on what was a difficult pitch to bat on. Bosham made a mockery of that however reaching their target without losing a wicket inside 10 overs. It is the first time in over 3 years the 3rd XI have gone pointless from a game; and confirms they will finish mid table this year. Full scorecard here.

The fourth team hosted Chichester 4’s. Chichester batted first and posted 314-7, Raj Anumula the stand out bowling with 3-30. In reply the fourth team scored 139 with Raj top scoring with 26. Full scorecard here.

On Sunday the 2nd XI travelled to Falmer to face Belgrave Adelaide in the semi final of the West Sussex Plate competition. Belgrave batted first and posted 112-7. In reply the 2nd XI slipped to 92 all out, Dan Clarke top scoring with 25. Full scorecard here.
